After attending five days international trade fair in Shanghai, Me and my translator (Chinese young boy) planned to travel towards Beijing through Bullet train. Our journey from Shanghai to Beijing took almost 4 hours & 45 minutes. From Beijing railway station, Within half an hour we reached the NUO Hotel Beijing, where we had already booked for 3 days.

Historical Landmarks: Echoes of the Imperial Past

Entering Beijing is akin to setting off on a literal passage. Beijing, which served as China’s capital for numerous times, impeccably captures the country’s various histories, rich cultures, and instigative current. This vibrant megacity offers a rich shade of gests just staying to be discovered, from literal Homeric treasures to slice- edge architectural sensations.

One of the best examples of China’s imperial past is Beijing. During the Ming and Qing eras, the famous Forbidden City, with its elaborate palaces and expansive courtyards, was the imperial residence. The rich lifestyles of China’s rulers are glimpsed through its grand gates and elaborate rooms.

Close by, the Great Wall of China towers over the untamed terrain as a testament to human tenacity and ancient engineering. There are fantastic hiking options along this architectural marvel in sections like Mutianyu and Badaling, where you can also enjoy expansive views of the surrounding landscape.

Cultural Experiences: Immersing in Beijing’s Vibrant Heritage

The Temple of Heaven calls with its exquisite architecture and quiet atmosphere, those seeking a moment of peace despite the bustle of the city. Emperors used to carry out rites at this hallowed location, which dates back to the 15th century, to secure a plentiful crop and heavenly favor.

Beijing is a vibrant cultural hub that extends beyond its historical sites. The vast summer palace complex, with its tranquil lakes, verdant gardens, and exquisitely designed pavilions, provides a haven in the great outdoors. Take a leisurely boat ride on Kunming Lake or stroll down the Long Corridor, which is decorated with colorful paintings that depict themes from Chinese mythology and history.

A trip to Liulichang Cultural Street is essential if you want to see Beijing’s traditional arts performed live. This historic street, lined with teahouses, antique stores, and calligraphy workshops, represents the best of Chinese ingenuity and workmanship. Admire the deft craftsmanship of artists as they create exquisite silk embroidery, intricate woodblock prints, and delicate porcelain.
