Cairo’s Cultural Tapestry: From Pharaohs to Modern Marvels”
Now it was time to fly back home.I am going through rush and chaos that I went through at the time of leaving Pakistan to come to Germany..Cleaning my apartment, closing my account and paying all outstanding bills, and packing my luggage.I spent one year in RADEVORMWALD ( a small town near Cologne and head back to join my dearest mother.During my one year stay in Germany I have done a fare share of traveling
,
learning German language (a little bit) and working in a Metal Factory (DGT) but this was my first time in Europe. This was not just a vocation,it was about living in Europe. My flight from Frankfurt airport was due after few hours.I had plan to spent a day in Cairo as transit passenger where main purpose of my stay was to visit PYRAMIDS and AL-Azhar University.Cairo, the famous capital of Egypt, stands responsible to the country’s rich history and vibrant culture.Covered along the banks of Nile river,Cairo is a city that carries ancient and modern history, with bustling streets, palpable sense of energy and historic landmarks. At the heart of this metropolis lies one of the world’s most iconic symbols of antiquity called THE PYRAMIDS OF GIZA.
HISTORICAL TAPESTRY.
Let us go back to ancient times, with its roots intertwined with the rise and fall of different civilizations. Its strategic position along the Nile river made it a significant center for trade and commerce. It served as the capital for ruling powers, including the Pharaohs, Romans and Islamic dynasties. The city’s historic landmarks are a testament to its diverse past. The Citadel of Saladin,a medieval Islamic fortress, stands proudly on a hill overlooking Cairo, offering breathtaking views of Cairo. The historic district of Islamic Cairo boasts narrow alleys, medieval mosques, and vibrant bazaar, providing visitors with glimpse in to the city’s rich cultural history.

Your visit to Cairo is not complete unless you explore the Pyramids of Giza,an awe-inspiring testament to the engineering prowess and cultural significance of ancient Egypt. The Giza Pyramid complex, located on the outskirts of Cairo, consist of three main pyramids- The great pyramid of Khufu, the pyramid of Khafre and the pyramid of Menkaure. The great pyramid, also called as the pyramid of Khufu is the largest of the three and one of the seven wonders of the world. It was constructed over a 20 year of time and is originally 146.6 meter tall, but erosion and the lossmof outer casing have reduced its height. The pyramid of Khafre is slightly smaller then the great pyramid,is very astonishing for its distinctive limestone cap and the great Sphinx,a massive lime stome statue with the body of a lion and face of a Pharaoh. The smallest of the three, the pyramid of Menkaure is covered by three smaller pyramids and is part of complex that includes temples and mortuary structures. The pyramids of Giza hold very cultural and historic significance, serving as elaborate tombs for Pharaohs and their consorts. The construction of these monumental structures remains a subject of fascination and debate, with theories ranging from advance engeering techniques to extraterrestrial involvment. The great Sphnix believed to be built during the reign of Khafre, adds an enigmatic touch to the Giza plateau. Its colossal presence, combined with mysteries surrounding its purpose and construction, continues to captivate researchers and visitors alike. The pyramids of Giza sit around 11 miles southwest of old Cairo on the Giza level and are open day to day frpm 8.00AM to 4 PM.Public transportation is not accessible inside strolling distance,so it is better to drive, flag down a taxi or take a transport visit to the site.It is pertinent to mention here to be aware of local guides who offer you a camel ride.

It is you to decide what kind of accommodation you prefer to have. Many hotels offer complimentary breakfast.
