Exploring Schengen countries on a single Visa”

Introduction

The Schengen Area is  very important zone in Europe, comprising on more then 26 nations that have terminated passport and other types of border restrictions at their mutual borders. Among these countries is Luxembourg, a small yet enchanting nation known for its picturesque landscapes, rich history, and vibrant culture. If you’re planning to visit Luxembourg or any other  Schengen  country, understanding the Schengen Visa is essential. In this blog, I will tell you into the wonders of Luxembourg & its small town named Schengen and provide comprehensive information about the Schengen Visa process.

But let me tell you that prior to launch Schengen visa,European Union was formed  which mean united Europe. After 2nd world war few intellectuals felt the necessity of European Union.Prominent persons to take this initiative  were JEAN MONNET, KONRAD ADENAUER,LOUIS WEISS,ALCIDE DE GASPERI,ROBERT SCHUMAN, SIMON VEIL,JOSEPH BECH, MARGA KLOMPE,WINSTON CHURCHILL,HELMUT KOHL FRANCOIS MITTERAND, JOHAN WILLEM BEYEN,URSULA HIRSCHMANN,PAUL-HENRI SPAAK,MELINA MERCOURI,WALTER HALLSTEIN,ALTIERO SPINELL,NILDE LOTTI,NICOLE FONTAINE,SICCO MANSHOLT & ANNA LINDH.Non of them is alive now but they all either fought in battle fields during world war or they were holding very important positions in France,Germany,Italy or Holland and Sweden. No doubt they were EU pioneers.

 Discovering Schengen and Luxembourg.

The small village of Schengen, located along the borders of Germany, France, and Luxembourg, serves as a symbolic gateway to the spirit of European unity. The historic signing of the Schengen Agreement in 1985 here paved the way for the creation of the Schengen Area, abolishing internal borders and fostering seamless travel across participating countries. As I roamed through the Schengen Castle, where the agreement was signed, a sense of the transformative power of collaboration and openness enveloped me. The gardens surrounding the castle offered a serene backdrop for contemplation, with the gentle flow of the Moselle River acting as a timeless witness to the harmonious integration that defines this region.Luxembourg, often dubbed the “Gibraltar of the North,” unveiled itself as a multifaceted destination that seamlessly blends history, modernity, and natural beauty. The UNESCO-listed Old Town of Luxembourg City, with its well-preserved medieval architecture, narrow cobblestone streets, and imposing fortifications, transported me back in time. Each corner of the city seemed to whisper tales of the past, from the Bock Casemates, an underground network of tunnels and chambers dating back to the 17th century, to the Grand Ducal Palace standing proudly atop the Ville Haute

 GIBRALTAR OF NORTH.

Explore Luxembourg City, the capital and heart of the country. Walk along the cobbled streets of the Old Town (UNESCO World Heritage site), admire the modern architecture of the European Quarter, and relax in the beautiful parks and gardens.Nature enthusiasts will find solace in Luxembourg’s verdant landscapes. Discover the Mullerthal Region, also known as “Little Switzerland,” with its stunning rock formations and hiking trails. Embrace the tranquility of the Moselle Valley, famous for its vineyards and wineries.

Beyond its historical allure, Luxembourg revealed itself as a hub of contemporary sophistication. The Kirchberg Plateau, home to the European Court of Justice and various European institutions, stood as a testament to the country’s pivotal role in the European Union. The Philharmonie Luxembourg, a modern architectural masterpiece, hosted world-class performances, demonstrating the nation’s commitment to the arts and culture. Wandering through the Mudam Luxembourg – Musée d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean, I marveled at the juxtaposition of tradition and innovation that defines Luxembourg’s cultural landscape.
